Due to rain, thunder, and lightning, there will be no games played tonight at Southline. With playoffs around the corner, no determination has yet been made as to whether the house games will be made up or just be wiped off the schedule. You’ll be updated as soon as we can provide more info.

Playoff games will tentatively begin on Monday, July 7th but — due to some very close races for playoff seeding — dates, times, and opponents have not yet been determined. Hello 8u families,SCHEDULE UPDATE:The electrical work on Diamond 2 is nearly complete but the lights are not yet fully functional. As such, we've made an adjustment to tonight's 8u schedule on Diamond 2.New game times are as follows;5:30pm - 8u White Sox at 8u Mets (No new inning will start after 6:45pm.)7pm - 8u Orioles at 8u Pirates (No new inning will start after 8:15pm.)This allows both games to be played without relying on the lights.We apologize for the inconvenience.Thank you,Southline Board of Directors ... MESSAGE FROM OUR SAFETY OFFICER:With the NWS Heat Index putting us at "Extreme Caution" for tonight's 6PM games, here are a few helpful hints on preventing dehydration and heat exhaustion, not just today but in the future.1. Kids need to begin hydrating at least 24 hours BEFORE their game.2. Hydration should be water, not iced tea, freezee pops or other sugar loaded drinks. 3. Kids should continue to hydrate regularly during the game.4. Parents should bring COOL WRAPS for the kids to wrap around their neck when on the bench.5. When catchers come back to the bench, chest protector and helmet should be removed.6. When infielders wearing helmets return to the bench, their helmets are to be removed.7. During the game, please keep an eye on all the players in the field, but pay special attention to the pitcher and catcher as they are exerting themselves the most.
